Ariane` Kamps is a figurative painter who works in traditional mediums to create otherworldly works. Her work reflects a deep interest in memory, hubris, dream worlds, and the human story. Her work ranges from portraiture to surreal dreamlike landscapes that she creates out of her home studio in central Alberta.
Her work has been featured in American Art Collector magazine, and the Wausau Museum for Contemporary Art in Painting The Figure Now, the International Biennial Portrait Competition, and the Surreal Salon. She is 2024’s recipient of the Artwalk Developing Visual Artist Award.
Ariane’s work can be found in galleries, museums, homes & private collections from North America to Australia. Her paintings have been added to The Lunar Codex, a time capsule being sent to the moon for future generations to find.
When she isn’t painting she can be found spending time with her 5 bright children, exploring their new stomping grounds in central Alberta, Canada.
